World Gospel Mission in Ukraine
In 1998, Ukraine was officially accepted as a field
of ministry for WGM and two couples, Ernie and Anna Smith and
Bill and
Betsy Tarr, were sent to begin the Lord's work. They arrived in Ukraine
in 1999 to begin their ministries. The ministry team has expanded with
the addition of Bill Brower in 2005 and
Frank and Chris Dewey in 2008.
In the decade that WGM has
been in Ukraine, we have witnessed many times over the power of the Holy
Spirit working in the lives and through the lives of so many people.
We invite you to explore our website. Learn about
our outreach ministries and the work of the Ukrainian churches we
support. Meet the people who are serving the Lord in Ukraine as
missionaries or as volunteers on work teams or task forces. Discover how
you can help to support the Ukrainian mission field through your
prayers, gifts, and time.

A spirit of unity among churches in our area. Ten churches are getting
together this weekend at the Berdyansk Community Center to present their
ministries to the general public. Each church will have a booth, various
ministries will have booths (our bookstore will have a booth), a lot of
Christian music, and joint worship times throughout the day.

of Hope Ministry Center Nearing Completion - The “end” is
almost in sight! Praise the Lord! However, all phases must be completed in
2009. It has been a long road but we can finally see we are nearing our
goal. Setbacks have been numerous: Foundation repair, cost of materials
escalating, cost of labor increasing threefold, and constantly changing
codes and regulations as Ukraine upgrades to European standards.
We are praising the Lord for many, many people who have given financially
to this construction project. Many have come with work teams to help with
renovation of the existing building. This last year (2008) we were able to
get a loan with the hopes that it would expedite the process and be
sufficient to complete the project. However, with the doubling and
tripling of building materials cost and quadrupling of labor cost – the
loan funds have been exhausted. We are now again faced with only being
able to work as new funds are made available.
To complete the project, we need an additional $150,000. These funds will
be used to: pave the parking lot, landscape the yard, install fencing,
complete the inside of the new sanctuary, install facials, and complete
the Humanitarian Aide building. All this needs to be accomplished before
we can have our first inspection – hopefully in July. The final inspection
needs to be passed in December 2009. We are asking you to prayerfully
consider the Home of Hope Ministry Center in your end-of-year giving to
the Lord’s work. Your gift will be a blessing now and also a blessing in
the future as this building is used to reach, teach, train, and provide a
place of worship for Ukrainians for many years to come.
Thank you for partnering with us in reaching Ukrainians for Christ.
