Wesley Bible College
Bill
fills several roles at Wesley Bible College.
He is director of the English Department for the college,
overseeing the courses and helping to improve the English program so
that the students gain a good grasp of the language.
He is a teacher. In addition to teaching the advanced English class,
Bill also teaches Greek, Church History, and several different Bible
courses. Betsy occasionally helps in an English class, giving new
vocabulary or filling in when necessary.
He is Academic Dean. Currently, Bill is in the process of revamping the
college catalog and hopes to establish the requirements for two or three
different degrees rather than one.
Another area of ministry that the Lord has given the
Tarrs is Betsy's Saturday-night girls' meetings with the college
and local church young ladies. These meetings have opened up
opportunities for Betsy to share and pray with several of the girls at
the college. Some of them have made a total surrender of their lives to
the Lord as a result of those talks and prayers. Praise the Lord for
using Betsy in this way, and for the love He has given the Tarrs through the
girls.
Bill on occasion teaches a weekly English class for
people from the community, many of them professionals. This has helped
the local people with their felt need to learn English, and has allowed
the Tarrs to show them Jesus while they learn English.
